There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed his desire to become a great writer. When asked to define "great" he said, "I want to write stuff that the whole world will read, stuff that people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them [...] I received an interesting email from a reader/friend about my "I must have slept through economics…" post. Seeing that this topic has genarated a lot of conversation – I felt it might be benefitual to post this email. Out of this conversation came some confusion as well as some new ideas. Seeing that I run a blog, I figured I would start a discussion as I’m a tad confused. Think about it: You stand around rolling large (and heavy) weights towards a group of white cans hoping to hit them. Since hitting the cans or pins (as they are called in bowling speech) every time is boring, someone came up with the idea of putting gutters on [...] A while back I mentioned that I was interviewed by Sojourners Magazine for an article about young evangelicals and politics. Today I’m proud to bring you the completed article as reported online (the printed magazine won’t be out for another few weeks). This is a book I have been waiting to read ever since I heard Derek Morphew refer to it in his 2006 seminar on the Kingdom of God. This weekend we had a High School Musical Marathon – luckily without the bouncing sing-a-long ball. Of course, this didn’t really stop the sign-a-long, it just stopped the subtitles.
